Return Policy

You have the right to submit a return request within 14 days of receiving your purchase. You can submit the request for the return shipment via our service page: https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. Once your request has been approved, you have 14 days to send the product back or have it collected. Return shipments without prior notification or without a valid proof of purchase will not be accepted.

Collection costs in the Netherlands

  • Collection of an unused fatbike in its box: €49,00
  • Collection of an assembled fatbike: €69,00
  • Returning accessories or parts: €4,95
  • Additional costs in case of incorrect preparation (e.g. not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25,00

Collection costs in Belgium

  • Collection of an unused fatbike in its box: €79,00
  • Collection of an assembled fatbike: €149,00
  • Returning accessories or parts: €5,95
  • Additional costs in case of incorrect preparation (e.g. not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25,00

Return conditions

A fatbike, accessory or part is eligible for return if it is in new condition, complete (including battery, charger, both keys and any other accessories) and is returned in the original, intact packaging. A valid proof of purchase is also required. The condition of the packaging and the product is recorded by our delivery service by means of photos upon delivery and checked upon return. For fatbikes, they may have been ridden for a maximum of 5 kilometres.

Defects, damage or incorrect deliveries upon arrival must be reported within 24 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. Reports made after this period will not be processed, unless legally required.

Tunable products (displays, controllers, tuning kits)

Tunable products, including tunable displays with a personal code and/or killswitch, tunable controllers and complete tuning kits, are excluded from the right of withdrawal once the configuration or activation has been carried out. This applies on the basis of Article 6:230p sub f and sub g of the Dutch Civil Code (in Belgium: Article VI.53 WER):

  • These products are configured specifically for your fatbike and/or with a personal code before they are shipped, and therefore qualify as manufactured according to the consumer's specifications.
  • The firmware/software in displays and controllers is activated and personalised by you or on your behalf; this therefore constitutes software activated by the consumer, to which the right of withdrawal does not apply.

By ordering a tunable product, you expressly agree that the right of withdrawal lapses as soon as the product has been configured or activated for you. Unopened, non-activated tunable products may in exceptional cases still be returned; this is assessed by FatbikeKlaar on a case by case basis.

Please note: tuning a fatbike to above 25 km/h is not permitted on public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium and is intended exclusively for use on private property. Use on public roads is at the user's own risk and voids the warranty.

Assembly costs

The costs for making your fatbike ready to ride (€50,00) will not be refunded in the event of a return shipment or a cancellation within 48 hours before delivery. If you choose to have the fatbike delivered assembled, these costs remain at your expense, even if you return the fatbike or cancel the order within 48 hours before delivery.

Return instructions

After submitting your return request via our service page and after our acceptance, you will receive a date on which we will collect the product, or a return label with detailed instructions for shipping your parcel. For accessories or parts, you will receive a return label. Return shipments without a prior request will not be accepted. Incorrectly packaged or incomplete returns will be refused.

Exceptions to the right of return

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Clearance items and items from discounted promotions (such as Spring Deals / Springtime Deals).
  • Gift cards.
  • Personalised products.
  • Tunable products for which the configuration or activation has been carried out (see above).
  • Products of which the hygiene seal has been broken.

Inspection upon receipt

Inspect your order carefully upon receipt. In the event of any defects, damage or if you have received a wrong item, report this within 12 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service or via WhatsApp on +31 6 82090642. After this period, complaints will no longer be processed, unless legally required.

Procedure for exchanges and refunds

For an exchange, you must first return the original product. After acceptance, you can place a new order. After receipt of your return and approval for a refund, the amount due will be refunded within 14 days to your original payment method, or in the form of a gift card after deduction of return costs and any depreciation.
