Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

Can I tune an Ouxi C80 Mini or QMWheel V20 Mini?
No. The Ouxi C80 Mini, C63 Mini and the QMWheel V20 Mini cannot be tuned. There is no tunable controller or tunable display for these models; they stay limited to 25 km/h. Do you want to tune after all? Then have a look at the Ouxi C80, V8 or GT2000 and the QMWheel V20 or V20 Pro.

Komfort durch breite Reifen
Die 20×4 Zoll Reifen eines Fatbikes schlucken Unebenheiten, auf denen ein normales E-Bike springt. Pflastersteine, Bodenschwellen, Baumwurzeln und Kanaldeckel spürst du kaum. Da Fatbike-Reifen mit niedrigem Druck gefahren werden (rund 1,0-1,4 bar), hast du praktisch eine natürliche Dämpfung eingebaut, ohne dass du eine teure gefederte Vorderradgabel benötigst. Auf längeren Fahrten merkst du das deutlich in Rücken, Handgelenken und Nacken.
Stabil auf jedem Untergrund
Durch die breite Kontaktfläche behältst du Grip in Situationen, in denen schmale Stadtfahrradreifen wegrutschen: nasses Herbstlaub, loser Kies, Kopfsteinpflaster, matschige Radwege und nasse Straßenbahnschienen. Mit einer Reichweite von 40 bis 60 km mit einem einzelnen Akku, und bis zu 120 km bei Modellen mit Dual Battery, fährst du Hin- und Rückfahrten wie Amsterdam-Haarlem oder Antwerpen-Mechelen ohne Zwischenladen.
Brauchst du einen Führerschein für ein Fatbike?
Nein. Für das Fahren mit einem Fatbike ist kein Führerschein nötig. Fatbikes fallen unter dieselben Vorschriften wie normale E-Bikes (250W Motor und Tretunterstützung). Dadurch gilt weder eine Führerschein- noch eine Helmpflicht.
