Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?

You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?

Can I tune an Ouxi C80 Mini or QMWheel V20 Mini?

No. The Ouxi C80 Mini, C63 Mini and the QMWheel V20 Mini cannot be tuned. There is no tunable controller or tunable display for these models; they stay limited to 25 km/h. Do you want to tune after all? Then have a look at the Ouxi C80, V8 or GT2000 and the QMWheel V20 or V20 Pro.

Important to know:

  • The ban applies not only to calling or texting, but to holding your phone at all while riding
  • When you are completely stationary, for example at a traffic light, you are allowed to hold your phone Achmearechtsbijstand
  • If your phone is in a holder while you are operating it, you are not holding it and are not in violation Komveiligthuis
  • Young people under 16 pay half the fine. Up to twelve years old, they only receive a warning DAS
